Jingjai Market — A Chiang Mai Favourite, Also Used by Buyers

A buying trip to Jingjai Market
We guided Ms. Ayumi Kuribayashi, who is opening a northern Thai goods shop in Nagoya this September, on a buying trip.
Day one took us to Jingjai Market.
Opening hours
- Weekends: 6:30–22:00
- Weekdays: 8:00–22:00
A market you can actually buy stock from
Jingjai has a different character from the tourist night markets — a lot of handmade work and goods brought directly by their makers.
That is exactly why it works as a sourcing destination for someone opening a shop in Japan.
Indigo-dyed soft toys, pom-pom accessories, hand-woven cloth — things where you can see the maker behind each piece.

From HATAGO
That day we moved on to Chamcha Market afterwards and spent the whole day shopping.
HATAGO can also support stays for buying trips. We have taken on several requests of the "I want to open a shop in Japan / I am looking for suppliers" kind. Feel free to ask.
