Yee Peng Lantern Festival at Mae Teng – A Local Experience
In November 2025, we joined the Yee Peng Lantern Festival at a local venue in Mae Teng – not the expensive tourist-oriented events, but the real deal where Chiang Mai locals celebrate. Day 1 was rainy but magical, and Day 2 featured a spectacular full moon with countless lanterns (khom loi) floating skyward. The HATAGO original tour, guided by Arlee, included lantern launching, kratong floating on the Ping River, delicious street food, and even a special collaboration with professional bubble artists. After the festival, guests gathered at HATAGO's living room for a memorable after-party.
