Mango Picking Tour in a Lisu Hill Tribe Village near Chiang Mai [June-July 2026]

About 1.5 hours north of Chiang Mai city by car lies the small countryside town of Phrao, surrounded by mountains on all sides. Drive another 20 minutes east along winding mountain roads, and you will arrive at Ban Sam Lee — a beautiful village home to the Lisu hill tribe people.

Harvest experience

What is Ban Sam Lee?

Ban Sam Lee means the village built by three people named Lee in Thai. This small Lisu tribe settlement is located deep in the mountains of Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province.

There are no souvenir shops, not even a single convenience store — just a truly rustic mountain village with a richness that cities cannot offer.

  • Wild chickens roam freely throughout the village
  • Countless mango trees line the mountainsides
  • A true hidden paradise near Chiang Mai
